dealing with complexities...love that is!

how do you deal with someone who is in love with you? if you think it's bad enough, try having a friend who is in love with you and boldly tells you what she feels...

i was just in this awkward situation and it was really difficult. i say its awkward because i never saw us as more than friends... and why not? she may not be the trophy girlfriend any man would be proud to parade and introduce to his friends; but she is intelligent, responsible, family-oriented, and shares the same interests that you have. unfortunately, i just saw her as a friend.

how do you respond to something that is outright unexpected. that why do i possess the qualities that she was looking for. that why am i so lovable...how? just give a naive answer and just shrug it off.

it wasn't such a pity, but in the end i pitied myself more than anything. i was in this situation not a long time ago and it just brought back memories. actually it was worse. i thought being in love with a friend and she liking you back is better than looking for somebody in just any place. it was hard because there are some complexities that you have to actually consider. in my case, it was the most difficult complexity...she's with somebody she cannot (and i think she will) give up. i was there...been there done that so to speak and that to be in it once again is the most stupid thing....
